Healing Thyself: Know your Purpose by Valerie Cheers Brown

Heal thyself: Know your purpose. – Valerie Cheers Brown

The Bible never guarantees that everybody will be recuperated yet what does the Bible say in regards to healing?  Are there things that we can gain from Scriptures about mending? Christians unconsciously trust that God will recuperate everybody if just they have enough confidence. Still others assert certain entries like Isaiah 53 in the conviction that God has guaranteed to mend everybody who is wiped out or have infections. What does the Bible really educate about recuperating? Give the Bible a chance to justify itself with real evidence since it is truly God addressing us through His composed Word. You may have distinctive verses than I do about recuperating however here are ten Bible verses about mending that I believed were vital trailed by my very own appearance on what these verses mean based upon their connection.

What Does The Bible Say About Doctors?

According to Lorraine Day, MD, “What Does The Bible Say About Doctors? Are they a Gift from God? “”Physician” is not said in the Bible.  Neither the word Physician nor the word Doctor is utilized as a part of the Bible. The word mistranslated as Physician is really the word healer. The interpreters have pretentiously – and wrongly – characterized a Physician – a present-day Doctor – as a healer.  Be that as it may, the Bible, in the first, says something very diverse.

Who claims to be our Healer?

God says, “I am the Lord who heals you.”  Exodus 15:26

“I will take away sickness from among you. . .”  Exodus 23:25,26

“He forgives all my sins and heals ALL my Diseases.”  Psalm 103:3

“I will give you back your health again and heal your wounds.”  Jeremiah 30:17

“The Lord will remove from you all sickness. . .”  Deuteronomy 7:15

“My counsel shall stand, and I WILL do ALL my pleasure.:  Isaiah 46:10

“Yes, I have spoken it.  I will also bring it to Pass.  I have purposed it.  I will also do it.”  Isaiah 46:11

“God cannot lie.”  Titus 1:2

“I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass.  Ezekiel 12:25

“At the point when Jesus was on earth, He NEVER alluded anybody to a Physician.”

“God needs no center men. At the point when Jesus was on earth, when somebody came to Him for mending, He never alluded the individual to Luke, the “Doctor.” Jesus recuperated the individual specifically and by and by. What’s more, He recuperated him either with His Word – which we have today, as the Bible – or He mended him with characteristic techniques – mud, water, and so on.”

“Jesus NEVER utilized medications, despite the fact that we realize that some writes of medications were accessible in His time. At the point when Jesus was on the Cross, He was offered a sort of medication to facilitate His agony, however He rejected it.”

In the Bible, What was the consequence of seeking out anyone else except God for healing?

Asa, King of Israel sought out the physicians INSTEAD of depending on the Lord – and Asa DIED!

“And Asa, in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, was diseased in his feet (probably diabetes), until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought NOT to the Lord, but to the physicians (human “healers”)

“And Asa died . . . and rested with his fathers (ancestors).”  2 Chronicles 16:12,13

So, according to the original Bible, “God is the Healer and He doesn’t share that job with humanity.  The consequence of seeking out anyone except the Lord for healing is death!

You may ask, “How does God heal?”

“Jesus certainly did miraculous healings when He was on earth, but there was always ONE requirement.  The person wanting to be healed HAD TO BELIEVE.  He or she had to believe that Jesus WOULD do what He had already PROMISED to do – and that is to heal ALL our diseases.” – Psalm 103:3

If a person BELIEVES in Jesus, then they will follow His ways, and not ‘man’s’ (the doctors) ways.

Here is the way God heals ALL diseases:

“Thou shalt therefore keep the Commandments, and the statutes (laws – including God’s Ten Natural Health Laws) and the judgments (decrees) that I command thee this day, to do them.

“Wherefore it shall come to pass, if you hearken to these judgments, and keep and do them, that the Lord your God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy that He swore unto your fathers:

“And He will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee; He will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy grain, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy cattle, and thy flocks of thy sheep, in the land that He swore unto thy fathers to give thee.

“Thou shalt be blessed above all people; there shall not be male or female barren among you (the cure for infertility!) or among your cattle.

“And the Lord will take away from thee ALL sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt (symbolic for Sin), which thou knowest, upon thee: but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.”  Deuteronomy 7:11-15

“Wherefore it shall come to pass, if you hearken to these judgments, and keep and do them, that the Lord your God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy that He swore unto your fathers:

“And the Lord will take away from thee ALL sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt (symbolic for Sin), which thou knowest, upon thee but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.”- Deuteronomy 7:11-15

“And the Lord will take away from thee ALL sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt (symbolic for Sin), which thou knowest, upon thee: but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.”  Deuteronomy 7:11-15

Now in the neighborhood of that place were lands belonging to the chief man of the island, named Publius, who received us and entertained us hospitably for three days. It happened that the father of Publius lay sick with fever and dysentery. And Paul visited him and prayed, and putting his hands on him healed him. And when this had taken place, the rest of the people on the island who had diseases also came and were cured. They also honored us greatly, and when we were about to sail, they put on board whatever we needed.

Leviticus 11:1-16:34 ESV

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them, “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth. Whatever parts the hoof and is cloven-footed and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat. Nevertheless, among those that chew the cud or part the hoof, you shall not eat these: The camel, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you. And the rock badger, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you. …

Revelation 22:17 ESV

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

Psalm 103:1-22 ESV

Of David. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. …

1 Kings 19:1-21 ESV

Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow.” Then he was afraid, and he arose and ran for his life and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he asked that he might die, saying, “It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers.” And he lay down and slept under a broom tree. And behold, an angel touched him and said to him, “Arise and eat.” …

Conclusion:

Healing is God’s privilege. He mends Who He wills as well. Recuperating is not from the will or force of any man yet just from God and just for His eminence. On the off chance that you have not apologized from yours transgressions, admitted them to God, and put your trust in the Savior, then you have an interminable capital punishment hanging over your head and that is more terrible than any sickness or ailment that you would ever envision. Isaiah expounded on the recuperating that originated from Jesus’ misery in part 53:4-6, “Definitely he took up our agony and bore our torment, yet we thought of him as rebuffed by God, stricken by him, and burdened. Be that as it may, he was punctured for our transgressions, he was pulverized for our wrongdoings; the discipline that brought us peace was on him, and by his injuries we are recuperated. We as a whole, similar to sheep, have gone off to some far away place, each of us has swung to our own specific manner; and the Lord has laid on him the evildoing of every one of us.”

Why isn’t God’s healing spoken about in church sermons?

Could it perhaps be because doctors or physicians are not really healers?

You have to have faith and believe in order for God’s healing to take effect and really happen and this is what I have done and why I no longer am taking prescribed medications and am now relying upon food as my medicine.

The Greek word meaning both Saved and Healed is sozo.  God lets us know that when our heart is really and for all time changed so we need to take after Jesus and HIS routes, rather than taking after the world’s way – the method for the common “specialists” (specialists, pastors, government pioneers) – when we genuinely get salvation, THEN our physical healing will start.

Picking your treatment involves faith and belief, “Will you serve God, or will you serve man (doctors)?”

God instructs us to, “Turn to Me and be Saved/Healed.”  Isaiah 45:22

Turn to God – and Choose Life!
